I just realised I'm considered middle-aged. Apparently to some I have been middle-aged for five years now. I am not sure as to how I feel about this or if it should matter. Should I dress differently? Should I quit World of Warcraft? Should I begin taking Geritol?
I'm always the last to know.

You're only as old as you feel.
Absolutely do not change your dress, behavior, or anything else unless you choose to. I remember the day a while back when my eye doctor said to me, "Well, now that you're life is halfway over...."
I could have killed him.
When my father was the age I am now, I was 18 years old. Can't wrap my brain around it.
We boomers and post-boomers'll probably never consider ourselves anything but young. It's not in our cognitive vocabulary.
Geritol, although we use the brand Jim Beam, will help you through middle age.

Middle-age is not a specific point in time, it is range of time spanning years, even decades, like childhood or old-age, but unlike childhood and old-age, middle-age is quite flexible. Middle age can last as long as you want it to. Considering that the next stage is, indeed, OLD age, which does not sound like much fun at all, I plan on enjoying this Middle-age phase for as long as I can.
Could be worse eh? heh!
